Background
Education & experience
I have 5+ years of experience teaching and tutoring, including as a Teaching Assistant at Harvard and with organizations like Elite Ivy Tutoring and Kiss Your Brain in Brooklyn. 100% of my students improve their test scores — most SAT prep students gain around 200 points after just 8 sessions, and students in my college advising program have a 100% acceptance rate into their top-choice schools.
I studied Music at Harvard, with a secondary focus in a joint Music, Math & Computer Science program at MIT, graduating with Honors in 2023.

Teaching Philosophy
Build lasting skills
Test scores fade. The ability to break down a hard problem, manage time under pressure, and read something dense while gaining a rich understanding is something your student will carry with them for the rest of their life.
Understand each student
I take the time to learn students' strengths and specific knowledge gaps. Classroom teachers are often too busy to go back and re-teach something that a student should've learned but didn't. A tutor who understands each student (and their unique academic history) is the fastest route to getting back and staying on track.
Do Purposeful Work
Students show more effort when they understand the "why" not just the "what" of any material. I help students find their own path and reasons to better connect with and more deeply understand their academics and course materials.
Outside tutoring
Outside the classroom
Outside of tutoring, I do research and programming work for MeasuringWorth, an economic history organization, and play guitar in bands in New York. I enjoy reading books about economic history, social theory, philosophy, music and fiction; taking my dog to the park; and watching the Yankees.
